The Dangerous Dogs Act was passed in 1991 and covers the whole UK. It’s illegal to own four dog types; Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Fila Braziliero and Dogo Argentino. The RSPCA is campaigning to end BSL and are petitioning the UK government to review the current law. The petition has already received over 55,000 signatures but the RSPPA have set their sights on 100,000.
