Zeke the cat disappeared from his North London home five years ago.

Zeke the cat disappeared from his North London home five years ago. He was handed in as a stray in Stevenage and was scanned for a microchip. As vets were unable to contact the registered owner, he was signed into the care of Cats Protection’s North Hertfordshire Branch. David Blane lost all hope of seeing his much-loved cat again, but five years later, he found him thanks to his microchip and his foster carers. He said: “I had resigned myself to the fact that I would never get him back, so to get that call out of the blue was utterly amazing.” He added: ‘It was utterly fantastic to see him again. Words can’t describe that feeling that could be that I was dreading taking him home on the train as he could be rather loud and unhappy in his carrier. It was heart warming to see his body language change and it seemed like a light had come on.’
